TCIC - Saturday School

Tri-City Islamic Center (Masjid Al-Aziz) is starting a Saturday School, and we're looking to bring aboard part-time classroom instructors who are available to teach during the school year. Instructors must enjoy working in a culturally diverse environment and be able to support the high expectations that exist with an Islamic program.

Job Description: Classroom Teacher

Position reports directly to the Principal. The responsibilities for the Classroom Teacher include, but are not limited to:

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Islamic Studies, Quran, or Arabic

• Maintain records as required by school policy

• Model appropriate dress and behavior

• Provide guidance and condole to the students, which will promote their welfare and their proper educational development.

• Administer the classroom and its program of organization, management, and discipline at all times.

• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with parents through effective use of term reports, report cards, and parent teacher conferences.

• Write clear and useable lesson plans that indicate direction for instruction and implementation of courses of study

• Clear Communication Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Email

• Demonstrate a sincere desire to aide all students

• Ability to engage students with excellent classroom management skills

• Work as team to bring about new ideas and teaching methodologies

• Carry themselves in a professional manner with students, parents, and other community members

• Thrives in a team environment and works well with others 

• Compensation based on experience
